Laser skin rejuvenation has become the procedure of choice among top international and local celebrities. It is also the average person who cannot afford time away from work to recover from more intense procedures.
What is Laser Skin Rejuvenation?
Laser Skin rejuvenation is the term we apply to the overall treatment of the skin rather than specific lesions and pigmentation of the skin.
MedLite Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatments lead to improvements in dermal layer, thickness and collagen fiber density, and the increase in fibroblast number and hydroxyproline (is a major component of the protein collagen) content. Collagen synthesis and remodelling induced by the Medlite Q-switched 1064nm laser is visibly noticeable after only 4 treatments. Among the new collagen genesis, Collagen Type III will increase sharply after the Q-switched 1,064-nm laser treatment. Other lasers and IPL systems will improve only collagen Type I, where as MedLite 1064nm Nd:Yag laser will remodel and significantly improve collagen Type III . In other words, the efficacy of photo-mechanical effects ( MedLite 1064 Yag) in promoting more effectively the synthesis of collagen Type III. Whereas the photo-thermal (other Laser and IPL systems) effect favored more the formation of collagen Type I only. Please see the page Photo – Mechanical vs Photo – Thermal, describing how collagen is regenerated, lines and wrinkles are decreased because the collagen fills and plumps the skin. Additionally, the MedLite Q-Switch laser causes an improvement in the overall appearance of the skin’s colour, lightening discolouration caused by years of sun exposure. Clients report, and studies have confirmed, that this procedure results in a refreshed appearance, smoother skin texture, uneven skin tone, and a decrease in pore size.

What does the procedure feel like?
