Preparation
We request you shave the area being treated 1 day before your Laser Hair Removal appointment. Long hair is not required (3mm growth maximum, Excluding female facial area). If you recently have had wax or Epilady treatment, we recommend waiting 3 weeks for re-growth and then shave the area 1 day before your Laser Hair Removal treatment. Full sun exposure is to be avoided 2 weeks before & 2 weeks after your laser treatment. Fake tan applications are to be avoided 1 week before your laser treatment.
Body areas generally require 6-9 treatments.
Face & neck require 20+ treatments.
Brazilian & underarms require 9-12 treatments.
- Avoid waxing, tweezing, or epilating for 4-6 weeks before having a treatment. You may shave during this time.
- Avoid direct sun exposure on the areas to be treated for 2 weeks.
- Do not apply fake tan for 2 weeks prior to your treatment, and scrub any remaining tan off prior to treatment.
- Shave one day before your treatment. Not applicable to female facial areas.
- Makeup can be worn to your appointment, however we will get you to remove it at the clinic if the area is being treated.
A consultation is for all clients visiting us for the first time. If you have finished your sessions and only need a maintenance visit (once a year), we will keep the consultation brief. We will then accommodate your laser hair removal on the same day if time permits.
Unfortunately we can only safely treat Fitzpatrick Skin Types I–VI. We recommend to visit us for a consultation to determine your compatibility with our dervices.
If your hair is light brown, laser hair removal will still be beneficial for you. However it unfortunately cannot pick up on white, blonde (including dark blonde), grey, or red hair.
Yes! Laser hair removal is safe to use on all areas of our bodies, including the cranium (scalp), face, and even genital areas. This is because the energy of the laser targets and disrupts hair follicles whilst leaving the skin’s surface unaffected. As laser is targeted and short pulsed, it is also unable to penetrate deep enough to reach any internal organs.
